For over 35 years, Ans Zondag has been creating her characteristic bronze animal sculptures with great dedication and craftsmanship. Her sculptures consistently move the viewer with their power, stillness, and eye for the character of each animal. Over the years, she has built up an impressive and beloved oeuvre.
Now that Ans is taking a small step back, this is a wonderful moment to look back on her work. Therefore, we are organizing a retrospective exhibition featuring a broad selection of her bronze sculptures. In addition, she is presenting a number of new sculptures, demonstrating that her creativity remains undiminished.
The exhibition can be visited from September 26 to October 18.
Ans Zondag's sculptures will be combined with paintings by the French artist Martin Coiffier. His colorful paintings form a beautiful interplay with the serene power of the bronze sculptures. Together, they create an exhibition in which painting and sculpture reinforce each other in a natural and surprising way.
