Rolf Weijburg

Rolf Weijburg gets the inspiration for his works from the memories, notes and pictures he takes with him on his long journeys. His etches are characterised by detailed flora and fauna, architecture, culture, landscapes and maps.

One of his projects is a series of colour etchings about the smallest countries in the world. His fascinating works are an embodiment of exotic dreams and appeal to a desire to travel.

Rolf Weijburg was educated at the Art Academy in Utrecht.
